HR Generalist
SUMMARY
We are looking for a Human Resources Generalist to join the HR department of a well-established non-profit organization that supports the community. They have around seven hundred employees in a wide variety of roles, across multiple sites in the Pittsburgh region. This person will work in the Butler, PA human resources office and work with another HR Generalist. This is a full-time position with a Monday - Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm work schedule. Benefits are completely paid for by the organization for the employee. Starting pay based on skills and experience, up to $27.00 an hour.
POSITION
Responsibilities include:
- Performs employee relations functions including but not limited to performance management, employee engagement and retention, investigations, addressing staff concerns, unemployment management, staff and agency compliance of employment law, agency policy, procedures, and regulations
- Administer employee benefits plans and compensation programs
- Explain benefits and compensation programs to employees. Assist them in enrolling in benefits
- Be the liaison with benefit providers and the go to for employees for benefit questions
- Help employees with needs for absence from work
- Assists with staff development and training
- Conduct research and audits as required
- Generate reports and maintain employee data in the HRIS software system, which is ADP Workforce Now, and Excel spreadsheets
- Associates Degree in Human Resources or related field AND a minimum of two years of experience working in Human Resources and/or Management
- Proficient understanding of human resources policies, procedures, employment laws, and regulations
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of information
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen
