Job Description :

Manufacturing company is seeking a Temporary HR Specialist in Blairsville, PA. This is a temporary position for approximately 3 to 6 months. This is an onsite position with a schedule of Monday - Friday 7 am to 12 pm (there is some flexibility based on a person's needs). Pay rate is $20 - $25 hour and will be dependent on experience. 




Primary responsibilities for this role include managing PTO requests, handling employee relations, overseeing hiring processes, and addressing other fundamental HR functions. The ideal candidate will work on-site and provide the necessary support while coordinating with the HR Manager who is working part-time remotely.




Key Responsibilities:



  • Manage and process employee PTO requests, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to company policies.

  • Assist in recruitment efforts, including posting job openings, screening candidates, and conducting interviews.

  • Assist in handling employee relations matters, such as write-ups, coaching, and conflict resolution, ensuring issues are addressed fairly and consistently.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.

  • Assist with onboarding of new hires, including orientation and paperwork completion.

  • Serve as a liaison between employees and the HR department, addressing inquiries and providing guidance on HR-related matters.

  • Assist in ensuring compliance with all company policies, procedures, and employment laws.

  • Coordinate with the remote HR Manager for guidance and escalation of more complex issues.

  • Other HR duties as assigned to support the plant’s daily operations.


Required Qualifications :


  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

  • Union experience preferred.

  • 3+ years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

  • Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practices.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks with attention to detail.

  • Proficiency with HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
