Job Description :
We are looking for an experienced Machinist to join a local machine shop in Butler, PA. This company makes parts and repairs equipment for the steel industry. This person can be given a part with requirements, and machine it. This Machinist will work independently throughout the day in a team of ten.
The work schedule is Monday - Friday 6:00 am - 2:30 pm. Overtime is available but not mandated. Generous employee benefits are offered.
POSITION
• Read blueprints and determine the correct materials and steps to meet the specifications
• Perform set up of the material on the HBM, planer or lathe
• Machine the parts to specifications
• Manage and maintain tools
• Write and edit programs
• Can diagnose problems with a machine or tool and make a repair
Required Qualifications :
- Previous experience in a machine shop environment
- Proficient blueprint reading skills
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
- Familiarity with machining tools and equipment
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen
