Purchasing Administrator
A manufacturer in Portersville, PA, seeks additional support for the purchasing department. This person will work closely with the production, finance and engineering departments and vendors to ensure the flow of materials and supplies. They will order, expedite, and track purchases.
This position has been created by an increased workload in the department. This is a long-term temporary position with no set end date. Monday - Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.
Pay rate depending on skills and experience. This is an on-site position in Portersville, PA.
POSITION
Working under the Purchasing Manager this person will assist with:
· Creating and sending out purchase orders
· Obtaining pricing, quality, availability and delivery schedules for items
· Monitoring delivery dates against production schedules
· Tracking delivery of materials and supplies, and following up on missing items
· Addressing quality issues and damage with vendors
· Provide feedback from vendors to departments on the alignment of needs with budgets
· Developing strong relationships with vendors
· Generate reports for management
· Updating internal departments on the progress of orders
· Assist with auditing and accuracy of inventory information
· At least two years of experience in purchasing materials and / or parts.
· Good Excel skills. Experience using electronic purchasing software such as Oracle, SAP or JD Edwards would be helpful.
